My friend Trevor is kind of shy to ask so he told me to. Well his appearance is not that appealing to people. He want to go with the emo fashion because he likes it and he hears that a lot of girls think it is hot. Well, he has curly hair. Should he straighten it or use chemical streghtener? Also he wants to die it black. Is there any advise on what he should use? He also want to know a couple of stores to shop at. He already shops at Hot Topic though. Another thing is that he wants to know what kind of clothes he should wear.
He has been my best friend for years and I told him I would answer his question with advise and everything. I do not want to let him down so can you please answer?

How do you change your style to emo?
Some girls think this is hott, but a lot of them really don't. Warn him that he might get called gay because of the tight clothing. I would suggest that he keeps shopping at Hot Topic. Tell him to go with tighter pants and tighter shirts. Tell him to load up on studded belts (wear two or three at once) And to wear wrist bands. The emo style also has a lot of piercings (eye brow, lip, ect) As for shoes, go with the chunky skater shoes (Possibly Vanns?) Change the laces to color combinations of red/black, black/green. The hair is pretty much everything when it comes to the emo look.... he should grow it out a bit and let the bangs hang over his eyes. Dye it black. And yeah, he will most likely have to straighten it (especially the bangs hanging over his eyes) unless he wants to just use hair glue/gel and spike it up all crazy. he should get hoodies n tight pants n for shoes vans or converse :) emos wear mixed color mostly black with any color ... for the hair he could straighten it or let the curly hair but it should get longer and dye it black .. :) start sk8in too :D

Back in the day when you kids were still watching teletubbies, being emo was cool. You have ruined it and it's now lost its meaning. You shouldn't dress emo unless you are emo. Tell him to be himself and try not to look like every other "emo" guy out there.

He needs to straighten his hair and not wash it for a few weeks, then buys some incredibly tight fitting girls jeans, and top it off with an old Poison (or other old rock) tshirt with a few holes in it. To complete the look, have him smear on some eyeliner and then continue to not bathe and smell.

In fact a whole mess of girls think emo guys are hot, especialy bisexual emo guys, though i dont understand why. to get an idea of what he should do to look more emo, he should just find a kid at his school that is emo and either ask him where he gets his clothes and everything, or just copy him exactly. he should blend in with the group well enough if he acts the way they do. but i dont know why he would want to be something hes not just to get girls to like him. if they dont like him for who he is without changing anyhting, they arent ever really going to like him for who he is.

Emo- well, it is very appealing to girls, I'm a chav but i still think SOME emo's look pretty hot- IF they try hard enough. I'd go for Chemically straitened hair-Only because if someone finds he owns GHD's, he'd probably be classed Gay.With a fringe starting from whatever side- if you're starting from the right, start it from halfway between the right eye brow, same for the left side. Die his hair a pretty dark brown and bleach a bit of blond in it. that doesn't bring to much I'M DARK I'M NOT HOT type thing. also, cut the fringe so it shapes the face. Give it ago. it looks like it might bring him allot of attention!
